Horus Lupercal was Warmaster of the Great Crusade and primarch of the Luna Wolves, later the Sons of Horus. He was the Emperor’s favoured son until Chaos broke him on Davin and turned the Crusade inward.
He burned Isstvan, raised a Dark Empire in the north, and brought half the Legions to Terra. Russ wounded him with the Spear; Maloghurst spent a life to wake him; Sanguinius died under his talon. The Emperor killed him aboard the Vengeful Spirit and unmade his soul.
Abaddon took the Talon rather than become another Horus. The name is still a curse. The Black Legion carries it anyway. Cthonia raised a gang-son. Terra crowned a Warmaster. Davin finished the conversion.
Sixty-Three-Nineteen and Ullanor mark the rise; Isstvan III and Isstvan V open the Heresy; Molech is the bargain; Terra is where the Warmaster ended.
