Cyrene System

The Cyrene System is a Blood Ravens recruiting star system in Sub-sector Aurelia whose green world Cyrene was put to Exterminatus by Gabriel Angelos. It was loyal, mutant-heavy, and useful to the Guard until the Chapter's own captain halted the Blood Trials and called in the bombardment.

There is little else in the charted well. Dawn of War-era campaigns treat Cyrene as a ghost that still haunts Aurelia: a homeworld the Blood Ravens burned, then kept on the maps as a warning. Later Aurelian wars happen next door; this system is the grave they started with.

The Cyrene System still matters as a Blood Ravens original sin, not as a living recruiting world. Unofficial fan summaries keep the subsector-aurelia parent and do not confuse planet Cyrene with Cyrene Valantion the Heresy confessor.
