Dawnbreak

Dawnbreak is a paradise world of the Ultima Segmentum in the Aebrasyn System, and the site of the Slaughter on Dawnbreak. There, Iron Father Kristos and his Clan Raukaan seized an Eldar excavation. Catachan troops and civilians were left to prove their worth.

The excavation held Eldar caches, which drew Clan Raukaan to the world. Kristos disregarded the Imperial Guard forces present, and the engagement ended in an Imperial victory. The Iron Council, the governing body of the clans, later disputed the manner of that victory. The dispute is the reason the name endured. Kristos treated the pleasant world as a problem of calculation and accepted that civilians would remain exposed to the outcome.

Dawnbreak remains the named instance of Kristos’s conduct on a paradise world. It is not a T’au colony, and it is distinct from both Columnus and Gaudinia. This entry keeps the Aebrasyn System as its parent location and does not classify Dawnbreak as a T’au sept, a knight world or the forge of Columnus.
