Eechan

Eechan is a carnival world in the Helican Subsector, noted for its mutant pits and for the auction of psykers by Inquisitor Lyko. Psykers are individuals with psychic ability. Lyko conducted the sales in the company of the daemonhost Cherubael, a daemon bound within a host body.

The visible commerce of Eechan resembled a freak-show trade sustained by the wealth of the hive cities. Beneath it ran a supply line in the Quixos region, which moved both sanctioned and unsanctioned psykers through Scarus. Inquisitor Eisenhorn entered the world’s alleys disguised in the paint of a mutant, maintained that cover, and followed the lead that took his inquiry off-world.

Eechan is recorded as a location within the Eechan system, under the Helican Subsector. Its standing rests on the contrast between its public trade in mutants and the concealed traffic in psykers that the trade screened. That traffic connected the world to the wider course of Eisenhorn’s investigation.
