Elysia Sector

The Elysia Sector is a region of the Segmentum Solar centred on the Elysia System, home of the Elysian Drop Troops. The verdant, civilised Elysia System lies among barren moons and gas giants. The sector trains airborne Guard regiments rather than conscripts drawn from hive worlds.

Elysian drop-trooper doctrine, the later Ork wars, and the well-known Elysian regiments are all associated with this region. The sector entry exists so that Elysia is placed within a defined region rather than appearing as an isolated planet label.

The Elysia Sector remains significant as the recruiting area for airborne Guard troops. Unofficial maps retain the Segmentum Solar as its parent region and record Elysia as a subordinate entry of the Elysia System.
