Elysia System

The Elysia System is the verdant civilised star system whose barren moons, gas clouds, and asteroid belts have always been pirate cover, so the PDF learns boarding actions and grav-chute drops before it learns parade. Elysia itself raises the Elysian Drop Troops; the well around it is why those troopers think a drop is normal.

It sits in the Elysia Sector. Pirates, later Guard deployments, and the usual void-trash of a rich world have all used this system's clutter as a hiding place. There is no second hive to share the fame — Elysia is the jewel, and the junk around it is the training ground.

The Elysia System still matters because drop infantry have to come from a place that practices falling. Unofficial fan maps keep the elysia-sector parent and do not relocate the Drop Troops to a generic Tempestus homeworld.
