Eydolim

Eydolim is an Imperial shrine world of the Ultima Segmentum, the principal world of the Eydolim System, ruled by the Adeptus Ministorum. Its capital is the walled city of Eydol. Venerated as the site of the Miracles of Lumina and the birthplace of Saint Konaldine, it remained loyal during the Horus Heresy.

The world’s history reaches back to the Dark Age of Technology, though most records of that era are lost. During the Great Crusade it was claimed for the Emperor by the Word Bearers under Kor Megron, whose company raised great cathedrals there and made the world a bastion of worship of the Emperor as a living god. When the Word Bearers turned to Chaos, Kor Megron’s company left Eydolim to make war on the Emperor. They returned in 946.M41 at the head of a Chaos coalition and were defeated at the Battle of Eagle Gate, where Captain Cato Sicarius of the Ultramarines banished Kor Megron to the Warp at the Gate of Martyrs.
