Fornax

Fornax is an industrial world in the Segmentum Tempestus, distinct from the Sabbat Worlds hive Fornax Aleph and the forge world Fornax Orbis Majoris. On this map it appears as a named manufactory. Its placement within the Segmentum Tempestus is held with medium confidence.

German-language campaign charts of the Fornax-Bogen (the Fornax Arc) describe the world as subject to Ork raiding. They record that it later came under T’au and Eldar pressure originating from Neu Triest, and that the conflict was still continuing in early M42. English-language reference pages do not give this exact spelling an article of its own, so the name is readily attributed to one of the two namesakes.

Fornax is significant chiefly as the Tempestus industrial entry that is neither Fornax Aleph nor Fornax Orbis Majoris. Unofficial summaries retain the Segmentum Tempestus as its parent region. They do not merge its record with the Sabbat Worlds daemon-hive material or with Gdolkin’s Ghost Stars forge.
