Galaspar

Galaspar is a hive world in the Galaspar System, settled during the Dark Age of Technology. No segmentum or coordinates are recorded.

By the time of the Great Crusade, its hives stood amid an arid, irradiated wasteland, ruled by a junta known as the Order, which euthanised labourers no longer able to work. The Order fired on Imperial explorator vessels, and in the ensuing Conquest of Galaspar the Death Guard, led by Mortarion, destroyed the Order. No year is recorded. During the fighting, Calas Typhon, then a sergeant, was caught in a landslide that killed the warriors with him, including First Captain Antavus Barrazin. Climbing from the debris, he met a psyker scavenger who hinted at a future heresy; Typhon refused the message and continued to express disgust towards sorcery.

Later, during the Horus Heresy, Galaspar was seized by forces loyal to Horus, and Corvus Corax sent a battlegroup to retake it. Calas Typhon is not recorded as taking part in that later fighting.
