Grief I

Grief I is a death world in the Grief System, an otherwise empty system of the Maelstrom Zone. It is the only named death world of that system.

The Grief System is associated with the Betrayal at Grief, a parley in which Lord Commander Ortys and Mantis Warriors Chapter Master Sartaq were killed. The meeting did not take place on Grief I. It was held at a rundown way-station above Shedim, the outer gas giant of the system.

Grief I is therefore distinct from the site of the Betrayal at Grief, although both lie within the same system. It is recorded as the named death world of the Grief System.
