Honourum System

The Honourum System is a feral star system in the galactic north of Ultima Segmentum and the location of the Novamarines’ seat, Fortress Novum. Its principal world, Honourum, is a storm-world wracked by continual lightning. The charted system contains little else of note.

During the Horus Heresy, Honourum was taken from a Word Bearers garrison. Roboute Guilliman later established a Second Founding Chapter, the Novamarines, on the same world. The Second Founding was the post-Heresy division of the Space Marine Legions into smaller Chapters. The Novamarines continue to recruit from the tribes that live on Honourum between lightning strikes. In later millennia the system has served as a northern watch-post rather than as a civilised capital.

The Honourum System is significant as a Second Founding location within Ultima Segmentum, and it is not regarded as a forgotten feral world. Unofficial fan maps place it under Ultima Segmentum and do not treat it as part of Ultramar proper.
