Hydraphur System

The Hydraphur System is the fleet-capital star system of Segmentum Pacificus and the base of Battlefleet Pacificus. It contains shipyards in orbit and a star fort, and its inhabited surface is divided among the Imperial Navy, the Ecclesiarchy and the Adeptus Mechanicus. Bastion Psykana is charted at the same location.

Hydraphur has surrendered, been retaken and been rebuilt on more than one occasion. Segmentum Pacificus has been the object of repeated campaigns, from the Macharian Crusade to later secessionist wars, and the system has been affected by each. It is characterised as a fortress world and as the western dock that must remain in being even when charts of the region fail.

The Hydraphur System remains significant as one of the five segmentum naval seats. Unofficial fan maps retain Segmentum Pacificus as its parent region, and the system is distinct from Hydra Cordatus and Hydra Minoris, with which it should not be confused.
