Jago System

The Jago System is a fortified planet of the Sabbat Worlds on the Pacificus–Tempestus boundary, and the setting of the novel Gaunt’s Jago. The planet is a dust-scoured world of trenches and fortified gun emplacements, known as gun-boxes, which appear older than the crusade that was obliged to capture them. The location is associated with Hinzerhaus and the Blood Pact, and not with a household of the Heresy Cabal.

In 778.M41, Van Voytz sent the Tanith to hold the flank at the House at the End of the World while Blood Pact forces attempted to retain the planet. Half of the Tanith regiment died in the course of that defence.

The Jago System retains its standing as a Sabbat fortress and as the subject of a novel in the Gaunt’s Ghosts series. Unofficial fan notes on this site continue to classify it under the combined Pacificus/Tempestus parent grouping.
