Jouran System

The Jouran System is a star system in the Segmentum Pacificus whose three habitable worlds supply the Jouran Dragoons, a mechanised Imperial Guard regiment. Its capital world is green and civilised. The noble houses there send their first-born children into the Planetary Defence Force (PDF) and treat a Guard commission as a matter of family scripture, recorded in a hall of heroes.

Jouran III, a hot industrial world, builds the regiment’s vehicle hulls and provides most of its troopers. Jouran V, an agricultural world, serves as a carnosaur park for the same aristocracy. The Dragoons ride in Chimera transports and advance through the gaps that tank regiments break in an enemy line. The 383rd, one of the regiments raised from the system, has its grave at Hydra Cordatus.

The Jouran System retains its standing as a source of mechanised infantry for the Imperial Guard. The site’s data snapshot and unofficial summaries alike place it within the Segmentum Pacificus, and this entry follows that assignment.
