Kanak

Kanak is a volcano-wracked feral world of tattooed tribes the Imperium harvests as Skull Takers, close-combat Guard who prefer blades, pistols and flamers to a dressed firing line. Some of those tribes sit closer to Ogryn than baseline human, which is the point. Word Bearers under Dark Apostle Oriax took the planet late in M41 and turned a slice of the same tribes into Traitor Guard; the world also has a buried Atun Dynasty tomb history the tribes never asked for.
