Kiavahr System

The Kiavahr System, in the Forsarr Sector, is the home star system of the Raven Guard and contains the moon Deliverance, site of the Ravenspire. It is a polluted forge well: Kiavahr itself supplies munitions on a scale that almost matches that of a full Adeptus Mechanicus world. Deliverance is the system’s inhabited moon.

Deliverance was formerly the prison-moon Lycaeus, until Corax led its slaves in revolt. The system’s industrial smog has since provided cover for that uprising, for a later rising by the Alpha Legion, and for ten millennia of Raven Guard raids. The moons Mellori, Nyctimus and Psophis, together with rocks such as Rhaban and Rubar, share the same charted well.

The Chapter continues to recruit from the forges and the moon rather than relocating to a cleaner fortress. Deliverance remains the home of the XIX Legion because it serves as a memory of the Chapter’s origins as well as a monastery. Unofficial fan maps place Kiavahr and Deliverance together as a single system.
