Magdelon

Magdelon is an Imperial world whose principal settlement, the Crystal City, is built from vast formations of natural crystal rising from the planet’s bedrock. The city’s refractive architecture made it a centre of trade and, to those with less legitimate interests, a site of arcane significance. In 712.M41, the world came under attack from the Bleak Brotherhood, a warband of Chaos Space Marines acting under a bargain struck with entities of the warp, who sought to despoil the Crystal City as part of that pact. The resulting battle, fought between the warband and a relief force of Space Wolves, drew the warp’s attention, the violence feeding the entities with which the Brotherhood had bargained and precipitating a wider daemonic incursion across the system. Magdelon remains an Imperial holding, its Crystal City scarred but intact, and its name is recorded among the worlds defended by the Space Wolves during the later centuries of the 41st millennium.
