Medrengard System

The Medrengard System is the fortress system of Perturabo, primarch of the Iron Warriors, within the Eye of Terror. It is a daemon-world gravity well lying beneath a black star that absorbs light. It serves as the IV Legion’s fortress within the Eye, and is not an Imperial hive.

Warsmiths raise spires of kilometre scale in the system, and these function as docks. Perturabo resides in the Kolasikon, which stands on an onyx isle within a lava lake. Slaves labour and die in the foundries of Pyriphon. The Iron Warriors have fought one another in the system as often as they have fought any other opponent.

The Medrengard System remains Perturabo’s seat of rule following the loss of Olympia. This site’s map retains Segmentum Obscurus as its parent location, since the Eye of Terror extends through that segmentum; the placement is an unofficial editorial convention.
