Medusan Sector

The Medusan Sector is a sector of the Segmentum Obscurus, regarded as the home region of the Iron Hands and the parent of the Medusan Sub-sector. Within that sub-sector lies the Sthenelus well, which contains Medusa, a waste world.

Ferrus Manus killed the wyrm Asirnoth in this region, leaving the clans of Medusa on a planet racked by earthquakes. The Fall of Medusa V campaign is not recorded under this entry in the present overlay.

The Medusan Sector is significant chiefly as the location associated with the Iron Hands. Unofficial maps retain the Segmentum Obscurus as its parent. Medusa is placed two levels below the sector, by way of the sthenelus-system entry rather than the medusa-system entry.
