Melchior

Melchior is a world of the Imperium brought to Compliance during the Great Crusade. At the time of its conquest its human population had been consumed and enslaved by the Nephilim, a xenos species that fed on worship and psychic thralldom. The Blood Angels and Luna Wolves, led by Sanguinius and Horus Lupercal, defeated the Nephilim there and ended that theatre of the campaign against the species. The planet’s later status is not securely recorded; Melchior remains fixed in Imperial memory chiefly as the joint victory and as the place where Horus first learned of the Blood Angels’ Red Thirst.
