Michar’s Meadow

Michar’s Meadow is an Imperial agri-world to which Grey Knights Brother-Captain Stern led a strike force after a Prognosticar vision of M’kachen. The Grey Knights Prognosticars had foreseen M’kachen on both Michar’s Meadow and Voltikron III.

The Chapter could reach only one of the two targets. Stern took a strike force to Michar’s Meadow, the more vital of the two harvest worlds, and found its fields intact, with no Lord of Change and no cult activity. Days later, word arrived that Voltikron III had been the actual point of attack and had fallen to a Tzeentch uprising. M’kachen had given Stern a doubled vision and used it as a decoy.

Michar’s Meadow remained Imperial, while Voltikron III was lost. Codex Grey Knights records Stern’s choice under his Trials of Undying Enmity. The Meadow did not host the later duels between Stern and M’kachen, which took place elsewhere.
