Mordian System

The Mordian System is a star system in the Stygius Sector whose principal world is tidally locked, with one side scorched and the other in permanent night. Because one hemisphere is uninhabitable, the population is concentrated in the darkened hemisphere, where it lives in hives.

Resources within the system are strictly rationed by the Tetrarchy, the ruling authority. The Iron Guard, the system’s military force, maintains order among the hives. Chaos has attacked the night side on more than one occasion. These attacks include an invasion brought about by summoning, the war fought across the Stygius Sector, and a later rupture of the Webway. Seven other worlds share the charted system: Dawn, Luminaria, Nigrellum, Obfuscane, Rho-Delpha, Sanor’s Fall, and Vander’s Landing.

The Mordian System is chiefly notable as the home star of the Iron Guard. Unofficial maps of the region continue to list the Stygius Sector as its parent grouping.
