Nemendghast

Nemendghast is an industrial world in the Vigilus System, where Black Legion daemon-forges operated during the War of Beasts. Described as a Chaos-held factory-moon, it was worked by forges that consumed its mineral crust. It is a distinct location from Vigilus itself.

The Ultramarines under Sevastus Acheran raided the Nemendghast plants while Haarken Worldclaimer’s war on Vigilus occupied the wider system. Pauper Princes and daemon engines were present on the world, which would otherwise have served as an ordinary tithe-producing industrial site. These events account for its recurring appearance in campaign publications covering the conflict.

Nemendghast remains significant as the corrupted workshop of the Vigilus System. This catalogue lists it under the vigilus-system parent and keeps it separate from the hive world Vigilus and from any Segmentum Obscurus forge of similar name.
