Nemendghast is a Vigilus System industrial world, the Chaos factory-moon of the War of Beasts where Black Legion daemon-forges ate a mineral crust. This pin is that Nachmund sister rock, not a random Obscurus forge.

Sevastus Acheran's Ultramarines raided the plants while Haarken Worldclaimer's war on Vigilus kept the system busy. Pauper Princes, daemon engines, and a world that should have been a tithe plant are why the campaign books keep spelling the name. Nemendghast is not Vigilus itself.

Nemendghast still matters as Vigilus's corrupted workshop. Unofficial summaries keep the vigilus-system parent and refuse to merge this row with the hive world Vigilus or with a Segmentum Obscurus forge that merely sounds similar.
