Nemesis Tessera

Nemesis Tessera is a wasteland planet containing a buried Inquisition dungeon-fortress, located close to the Eye. The fortress lies beneath the planet’s surface and serves as a place of confinement for captive daemons.

The Black Legion breached the fortress during the 2nd Black Crusade and released the daemons held there. In the 13th Black Crusade, a fallen inquisitor opened a rift at the site. The Space Wolves intervened and extricated the surviving members of the Inquisition conclave, the assembly of inquisitors then present.

The planet is regarded as coextensive with the fortress. Sources place it in the Nemesis sector or the Belis Corona sector, and the designation varies. Its proximity to the Eye and the two successive breaches of its defences define its standing within the records of the Inquisition.
