Nem’yar Atoll

The Nem’yar Atoll is a region of frontier Imperial space in the Chalnath Expanse of the Ultima Segmentum, first colonised and fortified by survivors of the T’au Empire’s Fourth Sphere of Expansion following their escape from the warp; their emergence created the Startide Nexus, a stable passage to the T’au Empire. Commander Shadowsun led the Fifth Sphere of Expansion through the Nexus, integrated the Fourth Sphere survivors, and expanded the domain, so that the Atoll has become a cluster of sept worlds, stellar fortresses, and habitats. A Death Guard armada later attacked it in the Battle of the Startide Nexus.
