Neptune

Neptune is an outer world of the Sol system, colonised in the Age of Terra and later devastated, where Triton still mines corvinium. Its recorded history comprises mutant infestation, a costly military clearance, and destruction during the Solar War.

Neptune was first colonised in the Age of Terra. Mutants subsequently overran the world, and the IXth Legion cleared its moons at a cost of twelve thousand of its warriors. During the Solar War, pirate fleets under Perturabo wrecked the planet’s habitats. A later bombardment by the Ultramarines left the colonies gutted.

Neptune’s standing derives from the contrast between the ruin of its colonies and the continuation of mining on Triton. Corvinium is still extracted there, beneath a sky marked by the damage of these successive campaigns.
