Optera IV

Optera IV is a feral world of the Imperium in the Optera System, part of the Pale Stars region of the Maelstrom Zone in Ultima Segmentum. Its classification as a feral world is the Imperial designation for a planet whose inhabitants live at a primitive level of technology.

In 908.M41, during the Badab War, the world and the void above it were the scene of the Battle of Optera, in which the Minotaurs Chapter overwhelmed the Secessionist Lamenters while the Lamenters’ fleet was resupplying in the system. The surviving Lamenters surrendered at the end of the battle, and their Chapter Master, Malakim Phoros, was reported missing, believed killed.
