Malakim Phoros

Malakim Phoros is Chapter Master of the Lamenters, Lord of Ruin and Watcher of the Deeps, a golden statue who spends every battle arguing the Black Rage back into its cage. His brothers follow him without question. Rumours that the cage is cracking follow him anyway.

He distrusted the Adeptus Terra after the Chapter's castigation, which is how Lugft Huron talked the Lamenters into Badab. The Minotaurs wrecked the Daughter of Tempests and the Imperium filed Phoros as dead. He crawled out of the wreckage, rejoined the penitent crusade, and later sat in judgement of Gabriel Seth after Armageddon.

The Lamenters are fleet-borne and unlucky. Phoros is the luck they still have: alive in M42, still Master, still granting the Lamentations when a priest is not aboard. The grief is the job. So is not falling.
