Paramar System

The Paramar System is a depot system in the northern Segmentum Solar, on a stable warp line between Isstvan and Terra. Its principal world, Paramar V, is a Mechanicum magazine, a facility for storing munitions, and its surface is scoured by radiation.

Alpharius of the Alpha Legion took the system after the dropsite massacre, because promethium and buried munitions served as a form of currency during the Horus Heresy. Loyalist forces had to return to the system twice. Paramar XXI shares the charted well with Paramar V. Gryphonne IV later made a nominal claim to the world, on paper only.

The system is a supply junction within the Solar region rather than a hive capital. It remains significant as the Alpha Legion’s demonstration that the seizure of a magazine world could alter the course of the war without a public massacre. Unofficial summaries keep its Solar parent and do not relocate its position to Isstvan.
