Paramar

Paramar V is a Mechanicum fuel-and-munitions world on the Isstvan–Terra supply route, sited within a trinary star system of bunkers and promethium refineries. The designation Paramar on this map refers to this world. Its value lay less in population or industry than in position: whoever held Paramar V controlled a stocked waypoint on the corridor linking the Isstvan system to Terra itself, making it a prize for any force moving between the two.

Alpharius’s Alpha Legion, acting with the Dark Mechanicum, took the system in the First Battle of Paramar, fighting that followed the Dropsite Massacre at Isstvan V. The timing places Paramar V’s fall within the wider redirection of the war after Isstvan: traitor forces regrouping from the massacre and pressing on toward Terra had reason to secure a fuel-and-munitions world astride their line of advance, while the Dark Mechanicum’s involvement reflects the schism already opening within the Adeptus Mechanicum itself.

The system changed hands twice more before the war’s end, an unusually high number of reversals for a single world and a mark of how tightly its promethium stocks and bunker defences were bound to the logistics of both sides. Paramar V’s story is therefore less one of a single decisive battle than of a supply node fought over repeatedly, each change of control a register of the wider, grinding contest for the Isstvan–Terra route rather than an isolated action. The final disposition of the system by the war’s close is not firmly recorded.
