Sanctuary 101

Sanctuary 101 is a barren world in the Vidar Sector on the Eastern Fringe of Ultima Segmentum, and the site of an Adepta Sororitas fortress-convent of the Order of Our Martyred Lady. The convent was a place of rigorous prayer and self-denial under Sister Purity as mistress of the community.

In 897.M41 it became the scene of the Imperium’s first open contact with the Necrons, when Sautekh Dynasty forces led by Imotekh the Stormlord destroyed the convent and flayed the Sisters within. Later returns by the Adepta Sororitas and by Necrons of other dynasties are recorded, including a further fall during the Noctis Aeterna.

Sanctuary 101 remains the named ground of that first Imperial–Necron massacre.
