Saturn

Saturn is a restricted Inquisition fortress whose rings and moons are closed to ordinary Imperial traffic. The region has the status of a quarantine zone, and access to it is barred to the general shipping of the Imperium.

The Saturnyne Ordo originally ruled the region as a sibling empire, independent of the Imperium, until the Emperor absorbed it. Malcador subsequently closed the region and designated it a quarantine zone. During the Solar War, the Night Lords dumped corpse-ships into its habitats.

By the thirty-second millennium (M32), the Ordo Malleus, the Inquisitorial order concerned with the daemonic, held control of the space around Saturn. The Grey Knights’ citadel on Titan is a separate location and is treated independently of the Saturnyne fortress.
