Talasa Prime

Talasa Prime is a fortress-world in Ultramar granted to the Deathwatch, which uses it as its principal training hall and Ordo Xenos stronghold. The Ordo Xenos is the Inquisitorial order concerned with alien threats, and the world serves as one of the Deathwatch’s main bases for that work.

Kill-teams, the small squads through which the Deathwatch operates, have long assembled on Talasa Prime before deployment against the Tyranids. These teams include members drawn from the Ultramarines, the Scythes of the Emperor and the Lamenters.

The Great Rift has since cut Talasa Prime off from the recruits it formerly received from the Imperium Nihilus. Other watch-fortresses now share the training burden that the world once carried more fully.
