Taros

Taros is an Ultima desert mining world, the Imperial Armour Taros Campaign prize the T'au took and renamed T'ros. This pin is that Tallarn-and-Elysian disaster, not a random Taros with no sept cadres on the ledger.

The Imperium tried to keep the mines. The T'au kept the planet. Water, ore, and a long Imperial Armour after-action report are why the name still shows on both species' maps. Taros is not T'au the homeworld and not a later Damocles footnote only.

Taros still matters as the named T'au conquest that Imperial Armour refused to let stay a skirmish. Unofficial fan summaries keep the Ultima parent, keep the T'ros alias, and do not relabel the pin a full sept core-world.
