Xenobia

Xenobia was a frontier world of the Interex, whose capital, Xenobia Principis, stood on the shore of a wide ammonia sea. The city housed the Extranus, a quarter set aside for strangers and visitors, and the Hall of Devices, a repository that served as both museum and armoury for artefacts and weapons. Jephta Naud held the post of general commander there.

During the Great Crusade, the city received an official visit from the 63rd Expeditionary Fleet under Warmaster Horus. In the course of this visit, the Hall of Devices was raided and destroyed and an Anathame blade taken, an act later attributed to the Word Bearer Erebus. The Interex took the raid for an Imperial attack, and the resulting Battle of Xenobia Principis laid much of the city to ruin before Horus was withdrawn from the world. No further record survives of Xenobia beyond the Interex’s eventual destruction in a later Imperial campaign.
