Felix

Felix is a Tetrarch of Ultramar, a regional governor within Guilliman’s Five Hundred Worlds, recorded among the Imperial commanders of the Plague Wars. The title belongs to the civil order of the Ultramar Sub-sector, in which each tetrarchy is a subdivision of the realm answerable to Macragge, seat of the Ultramarines and of Roboute Guilliman. A Tetrarch holds administrative and defensive authority over a portion of the realm and its populations, and is not a battle-brother of the Chapter. He appears elsewhere on Orrery under the fuller name Decimus Felix.

His one recorded appearance is in the Plague Wars of about 012.M42, when Mortarion and the Death Guard invaded Ultramar after the opening of the Great Rift. He is listed on the Imperial side alongside Guilliman, Chapter Master Marneus Calgar, Tribune Actuarius Maldovar Colquan and Fleetmaster Isaish Khestrin. The campaign is recorded as an Imperial victory in which the Daemon Primarch Mortarion was banished and the realm was ravaged but held. The tetrarchy Felix governed, his origins, his rise to office and his individual actions in the war are not established, and this dossier does not supply them.

Felix is best understood as one of the civil office-holders who shared the defence of Ultramar with the Ultramarines and the realm’s auxilia and fleets. The office predates his tenure: Tetrarchs Eikos Lamiad and Tauro Nicodemus are recorded among Guilliman’s commanders at the Battle of Calth in 007.M31, during the Horus Heresy. His status in the present era is unknown, and no death or removal is recorded. On the map his anchor is the Ultramar Sub-sector; on the timeline it is the Plague Wars, in the first years of the Indomitus Crusade.
