Horticulous Slimux

Horticulous Slimux is the Grand Cultivator of Nurgle’s Garden, a daemon who prepares worlds in realspace for cultivation by planting Feculent Gnarlmaws. He regards realspace as an allotment that has not yet been planted. He rides a snail named Mulch.

Slimux plants Feculent Gnarlmaws wherever the ground appears too healthy, and he objects to barren rock as a matter of professional principle. His function differs from that of Epidemius, who counts: Slimux sows. On worlds that survive the first bloom, the soil goes on to support a second. He has travelled ahead of Nurgle’s larger children to prepare the seedbed, and has remained afterwards to prune.

The Garden does not end at the boundary of the Warp, and Slimux is the means by which it extends into realspace. Mortals who encounter him frequently conclude that they have met a gardener, and that conclusion is correct.
