Obyron

Vargard Obyron is Zahndrekh's bodyguard, a Lychguard who has stood at the same shoulder since they were both still flesh in a swamp called Yama. He does not want the throne. He wants the Nemesor alive, which in a Necron court is the more ambitious goal.

He fights at the front with a warscythe, then folds space with the Ghostwalk Mantle the moment Zahndrekh is threatened. Kor'sarro Khan almost died on that blade. Zahndrekh called the duel off, which Obyron obeyed, which is the whole relationship in one order.

The court plots. Obyron does not plot. He subtracts plotters, and Gidrim remains Zahndrekh's because of that arithmetic.
