Battle of Kolovan
The Battle of Kolovan was fought on the Imperial industrial world Kolovan against Hive Fleet Kraken in M41. No segmentum, sector, system, or coordinates are recorded for the world. The planetary defence force made a determined stand before the Ultramarines 3rd and 5th Companies took up the defence. Chaplain Ortan Cassius fought with them, as did Remas of the Scythes of the Emperor, a Chapter all but destroyed by Kraken. Cassius slew the Swarmlord on Kolovan, although the Hive Mind later reincarnated the creature aboard a hive ship. The Tyranids were repelled, but Kolovan was left a poisoned, acidic dead world with no surviving human inhabitants.
