Fall of House Glaw

The Fall of House Glaw was the exposure and suppression of a Chaos cult centred on the Glaw noble house of Gudrun in the mid-41st millennium. The event took place on Gudrun and is associated principally with the investigation conducted by Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn. Eisenhorn’s investigation, in which Commodus Voke also took part, led to the seizure of the Glaw estates and to the death or capture of figures allied with the house. Later accounts associate two further individuals with the case: the enforcer Gorgone Locke and the preserved intellect known as the Pontius. The scandal contributed to Gudrun’s loss of its status as capital of the Helican region to Thracian Primaris in 241.M41. Gudrun nevertheless remained an Imperial world. The Glaw name continued to appear in later Inquisitorial files through the Pontius. Alizebeth Bequin served on Gudrun in the infiltration of House Glaw, posing as Eisenhorn’s spoiled wife while he traded under the merchant cover of Farchaval. Captured with the cell, she endured the carnodon arena and the subsequent fighting against House Glaw’s retainers, including the Emperor’s Children Marine Mandragore, and refused Eisenhorn’s offer to withdraw before the end of the affair. By the close of the Necroteuch case she stood as a permanent member of his retinue.
