Alizebeth Bequin was Eisenhorn's Blank, the joygirl from Hubris whose empty soul made psykers flinch and daemons fail. She learned pistols, ran the Distaff, and tried to shut down a Chaos Titan with sheer absence until an embolism put her in stasis the priesthood called dying.
Her ship vanished. A quasi-clone called Beta walked out of a Cognitae scholam on Sancour, survived Ravenor, Eisenhorn, and the King in Yellow, and started using Enuncia as if the original's story had refused to close on Durer when the embolism said it should.
The Inquisition still needs pariahs. Bequin, in one body or the next, is what that need costs.
