Founding of New Badab

The Founding of New Badab was the seizure of a world in the Maelstrom by Huron Blackheart and the surviving Astral Claws after their flight from Badab Primaris at the end of the Badab War. The world was inhabited by hundreds of thousands of mutants and other outcasts, whom Huron and some three hundred of his warriors quickly overcame before taking the planet for their own; other accounts put the number that escaped Badab at about two hundred. It became the base of the Red Corsairs and the seat of Huron’s rule, a labyrinth of fortifications, cities and forges in the Tyrant’s Crown region of the Maelstrom, home to hundreds of thousands of troops and billions of slaves, with a new Palace of Thorns at its southern pole and dockyards and orbital defence platforms above it.
