Gevion Cluster War

The Gevion Cluster War was a campaign fought in late M41 in the Gevion Cluster Worlds, a sub-sector of the Uhulis Sector, with its centre on the mining world of Geviox. No year is recorded. Drukhari of the Volgorragh Rift launched a full-scale invasion of the sub-sector, departing from their usual pattern of slave raids for purposes that were not established. The Salamanders 3rd Company under Captain Adrax Agatone led the campaign of liberation alongside the 156th Night Devils regiment of the Astra Militarum under General Slayte. In the fighting, which included an assault on Ironlandings, one of Geviox’s principal factorum cities, the company’s Chaplain, Elysius, was captured by the Drukhari while bearing Vulkan’s Sigil, a relic of the Chapter, and the Sigil came close to being lost. The Forgefather Vulkan He’stan travelled to the cluster aboard the frigate Firelord with a strike force of Firedrakes from the 1st Company, led by Veteran Sergeant Herculon Praetor, to recover the Chaplain and the Sigil. Ironlandings was retaken after the Firedrakes arrived. He’stan then led a rescue mission through the webway into the Volgorragh Rift and the Drukhari city called the Port of Anguish, in the course of which he was found to speak the language of the Drukhari. On Geviox, a battle at the Ferron Straits under Agatone’s command broke the main Drukhari host; the remaining raiders were destroyed and the cluster was freed.
