Incursion of the Indomitable
The Incursion of the Indomitable was fought in 935.M41. A daemonic horde led by M’kar the Reborn seized the star fort Indomitable, then in the outer orbit of Calth. Marneus Calgar boarded the fort with Terminators of the Ultramarines 1st Company. The official Chapter record stated that he tore M’kar limb from limb. Calgar later admitted that this was not true: even with the 1st Company and the Ordo Malleus, he could not destroy M’kar, and instead imprisoned the daemon’s essence in the fort’s warp core. Half of the Ultramarines 5th Company was left to garrison the Indomitable, which was then sent on a random course intended to lose it within the warp.
