Ravagers invasion and Slaanesh ritual

The Ravagers invasion and Slaanesh ritual was a campaign fought on Adumbria Prime, a tidally locked civilised world on the fringe of the Damocles Gulf. Sources disagree on its date: the planet’s own article placed the invasion on 285.937.M41, Cain’s biography stated that he arrived in 937.M41, and the chronology table dated the novel The Traitor’s Hand, which recorded the episode, to 936.M41. Commissar Ciaphas Cain broke a ritual conducted by worshippers of Slaanesh and halted the Chaos warband known as the Ravagers, which sought to turn Adumbria into a daemon world.
