Adumbria

Adumbria Prime is a tidally locked civilised world on the Damocles fringe, where the population lives in the twilight Shadow Belt around Skitterfall. Because the planet always presents the same face to its sun, one hemisphere is desert and the other arctic. Settlement is confined to the temperate band of perpetual twilight between them.

The world lies in the Ultima Segmentum, in the Damocles region, and is catalogued under The Ghost Stars. Cain opposed an attempt by the Ravagers to convert Adumbria Prime into a daemon world. The plan centred on a summoning of a Slaanesh entity, and Cain stopped both the Ravagers and the summoning.

Adumbria Prime is notable chiefly for two features: its extreme division into day-side and night-side climates, and its escape from daemonic conversion. It remains a civilised world, and its inhabited territory stays concentrated in the Shadow Belt.
