Red Corsairs raid
The Red Corsairs raid on Bakka was a major attack in 980.M41 on Bakka, the naval base and Segmentum Fortress of Segmentum Tempestus, by the fleet of the Red Corsairs led personally by Huron Blackheart. Bakka co-ordinates the Imperial Navy’s forces across the segmentum, and its shipyards stand above fortified installations built on rafts of rock floating on seas of lava. The raid carried the Red Corsairs beyond Ultima Segmentum, where their lair in the Maelstrom lies. No account of its course, its losses or its outcome is recorded.
