Second Battle for Pavonis

The Second Battle for Pavonis was a campaign in which Uriel Ventris, reinstated as Ultramarines 4th Company captain, repelled a T’au invasion of Pavonis. The invasion took place some years after the tomb war of the First Battle for Pavonis and before the Bloodborn invasion of Ultramar. Ventris commanded the defence of the mining world against the T’au incursion. During the fighting, Ventris threatened to destroy Pavonis from orbit rather than allow the world to fall. The T’au withdrew, ending the invasion.
