War of Slime and Metal / Charadon Campaign

Two accounts record fighting on the forge world Metalica. The War of Slime and Metal describes an invasion after the Great Rift by the Death Guard’s 3rd and 7th Plague Companies, daemons, Chaos Space Marines, corrupted Titans of Legio Morbus, and seven fallen Knight houses. House Raven’s arrival kept Metalica from falling, and a war fleet from the forge moon Deimos then defeated Nurgle’s forces. That account does not name Typhus. The Charadon Campaign, also called the War of Rust and Slime, is dated early M42 and, in Metalica’s labour-rotation chronology, runs from cycle 855 to cycle 1058. It records a strategic Chaos victory: Typhus corrupted Metalica, while Imperial forces retained the Charadon Sector. The invasion of Metalica in that account is dated cycles 990 to 1035. Typhus meant to deliver a phage called the Nemesis Wurm into the Primary Industrial Cluster. His hosts secured the Ironclad Expanse, and he led the Plaguebringer Offensive. At the Macrosanctum his Land Raider was damaged. He and his Terminator guard left their vehicles. He killed Skitarii Marshal Decitor Septrax-Tertian, entered Fabricator-General Khleng’s command room, and had a Dark Mechanicum tech-priest plunge the Nemesis Wurm into Khleng. Typhus then vanished. The phage remained and returned after purges.
