Apollonia

Apollonia is a sunless Inquisition moon north of Segmentum Obscurus that served as the reliquary hiding the Athenaeum of Kallimakus. The name also appears in the variant spelling Appollonia.

The moon orbited a gas giant in permanent eclipse. It held numerous blanks (individuals without a psychic presence), orbital guns, and a library that held the moon together. Ahriman expended Sanakht to remove the Athenaeum. Grey Knights and an Inquisition fleet arrived while a civil war was under way within his own armada, and the intervention of Space Wolves further disordered the fighting. The moon imploded into a warp storm.

Apollonia is chiefly notable as the setting of the *Ahriman: Sorcerer* operation to seize the Athenaeum. It is not the Grey Knights Titan-sister of the same name, nor is it a shrine associated with Eisenhorn. Unofficial summaries retain Segmentum Obscurus as its parent region and classify it as a moon.
